Bootsplash patch Kernel 2.6.35

Bootsplash buat kernel Linux terbaru saat ini (2.6.35). Gw modifikasi dari punyanya Zenwalk, gampang kok cuma search and replace 2.6.33 ke 2.6.55 aja. Hehe..

Bagi yang belum tau nge-patch bootsplash ke kernel :

  1. Download bootsplash patch
  2. Salin kedalam folder source kernel (umumnya: /usr/src/linux-2.6.35)
  3. Ketik bunzip2 bootsplash-3.1.8-2.6.35.patch.bz2
  4. Ketik patch -p1 < bootsplash-3.1.8-2.6.35.patch
  5. Ketik make menuconfig
  6. Cari Device Drivers—-> (tombol pintas D), tekan Enter
  7. Cari Graphics support—-> (tombol pintas G ), tekan Enter
  8. Dipaling bawah ada Bootsplash configuration—->, tekan Enter
  9. Aktifkan dengan menekan tombol spasi (Space)
  10. Pilih Exit sampai ditanya Do you wish to save your new kernel configuration?, tekan Enter (Yes)
  11. Ketik make bzImage, tunggu sampai selesai
  12. Ketik cp arch/x86/boot/bzImage /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.35
  13. Bila pakai Lilo ketik lilo lalu tekan Enter, jika Grub masukkan saja kedalam file konfigurasi grub

Mengaktifkan Bootsplash
Selesai dicompile lalu salin ke folder boot
